A small contribution to a jumbo cause

Elephant Pants With Elephant In Forest

Why Elephant Pants?

Elephant pants symbolize hope for the dwindling elephant population in Southeast Asia. Today, less than 400 elephants remain in Laos, which was once named the land of a million elephants. We partner with the Elephant Conservation Center by donating our profits to aid in their attempt to rehabilitate the fragmented elephant population here. This means that when you purchase a pair of elephant pants you’re not just purchasing a pair of the most comfortable, handmade, harem pants in the world; you’re contributing to the preservation of an endangered species, and that’s something to feel good about! Our hope is to show the world that one pair of elephant pants can make a difference.

Comfortable, Durable, Designed with purpose

Our Goal

Because of COVID-19, the Elephant Conservation Center (ECC) may not survive the year, due to lack of funding. Our goal is to raise over $25,000 to keep ECC afloat during this time of need; we have raised over $10,000 to date! We’ve pledged 100% of our profits until we reach that goal! This may not seem like much, but it’s a small contribution to a jumbo cause. The funds raised are used to provide veterinary care, habitat protection, ensuring reproductive success, and bringing on new rescued elephants, at the ECC. No matter how small, your contribution matters to the elephants of Laos!

A Race Against Extinction

With less than 50,000 elephants remaining in the wild today, the Asia Elephant is likely to become extinct before the turn of the century, unless action is taken. In Laos alone, there are only 800 elephants left, 400 of which remain in captivity. Once named, The Land of a Million Elephants, Laos’s elephant population now holds on by a thread. Fragmented by deforestation, this elephant population has very little chance of rebounding on its own.

In 2001, the Elephant Conservation Center was founded to rehabilitate the Asian Elephant population in Laos. With over 490,000 acres of protected land, the elephants here are given a fighting chance at survival.  By using innovative research on endocrinology and socialization, the ECC is able to better predict mating patterns. Now in 2021, the elephant population is on the rise for the first time in over a century! The ECC is also the first conservation project in history to release captive raised elephants back into the wild! All of this progress will be lost if the ECC is unable to meet their funding goal; so what are you waiting for? Follow the links below, and see how one pair of pants can make a difference.
